Summary: Requesting Maternal Fetal Medicine coverage for physician practice in Omaha and Lincoln NE to cover a physician resignation. Provider will cover clinic 8a5p night call 5p8a and 24 hour call on weekends. Locums will cover all three locations while on call (St. Elizabeth Lakeside and CUMC).
BID DUE DATE: 11/19/24; 5pm EST
Rate Caps for Submission:
Malpractice Must be included in rates.
Orientation half the hourly/callback rate kicks in after 8 hours. Per hour of orientation or training beyond 8 hours
Hourly under xx600 Per hour not OT
Holiday Must be 1.5x the regular rates Per holiday hour no OT
Nightly Call under xx1500 Per night call to hold the pager to include 2.5 hours gratis
Holiday Nightly Call xx2250 Per night call to hold the pager to include 2.5 hours gratis
On Call (Daily) under xx4600 Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis
24 Hour Holiday Call Rate xx690 Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis
Call Back under xx600 Per hour of patient contact hours after gratis hours are completed gratis prorate to MSA terms.
Holiday Call Back xx900 Per holiday hour of patient contact hours after gratis hours are completed gratis prorate to MSA terms.
Avg callback hours: 24hrs
Schedule/Availability Requirements:
Oct Nov and Dec
35 days (over a weekend) or up to a week at a time (including weekend). The two weeks in a month can be separated.
MF 8:30a 5p (Clinic 1 Day no contact day) Call 8a handoff (weekends F/SA/Sun)

Duties: Clinic L&D/PP
Required Procedures: All standard maternal fetal medicine procedures in a clinic and hospital setting Obstetrics
EMR: EPIC
Support Staff: Front Desk and Clinical Support Staff including ultrasound onsite
Reason for Coverage: Physician Resignation
Deal breakers (do not present this): Concerns re: quality malpractice unable to clear no recent practice experience
Travel Preferences (see attachment for specific travel guidelines):
Preferred Lodging: none. In the event that the CommonSpirit Health preferred hotel is not available hotel/lodging rates will be reimbursed based on actual expense up to 1.5 times the current GSA rate for the market.
Air Travel: xx750/round trip cap
Rental Cars: xx65/day all in cap (including taxes and fees) regardless of car class.
Mileage: IRS Standard Rate
Please detail any anticipated travel exceptions for example a dietary restriction necessitating specific lodging situations. Travel exception requests will be denied if this information is not part of the provider presentation. Please also indicate the city where provider will be traveling from in the travel section of the provider submission.
Credentialing Information:
Timeframe: 6090 days (will need quick return of application to meet Nov start)
Requirements: Clinic Hospital obstetric privileges 20 deliveries in 24 months
Credentialing with other facilities CHI Health Lakeside Hospital
Additional Details / Questions Answered by Facility:
Clinic: 1520 patients per day
- What does day to day look like in the clinic 8:004:30 (4560 m for lunch) Consults read only US for MFM and also generalist read inpatient US consult support occasional private delivery patients or nurse midwife back up.
- How many patients in the clinic per day and how many admitted in the hospital on average 1520 patients / day
- Consultative only Any procedure or delivery requirements Consultative some private OB (can discuss if this is an absolute no)
- Will there be additional MFM on staff Omaha Michael Barsoom
- Can you provide the schedule rotation between the facilities CUMC and Lakeside Depending on candidate comfort we may house them at one location (ex. CUMC Bergan and rotate the 2nd physician) this is up for discussion based on candidate pool.

- Board Certified OB/GYN with Maternal Fetal Medicine Subspecialty REQUIRED
- Active NE license HIGHLY PREFERRED
- OB/GYN Residency and MFM Fellowship Required
- Active BLS DEA NRP Required
- Clean Malpractice/background Highly Preferred
- Local no flights Highly Preferred
- Must be available for dates listed in job description to be considered REQUIRED
- Disclose if the provider has worked at any other CHI/Dignity facility REQUIRED
- COVID VACCINATED REQUIRED
