Job Description
Vivo HealthStaff is recruiting for an Emergency Medicine Physician in Lansing MI for locum coverage. This position offers competitive compensation and benefits with Car Rental and Lodging.
Job Details:

- 1/8/2025 4pm 2am 1/9/2025
- 1/9/2025 4pm 2am 1/10/2025
- 1/11/2025 12pm 10pm 1/11/2025
- 1/12/2025 12pm 10pm 1/12/2025
(and other dates through 2/5/2025 as listed)
- Reason for Locum Coverage: Recruitment Gap
- Patients per day: 110
- Staff Support: Full nursing staff 12 hours of APP coverage daily
- EHR: Cerner
- Number of Beds: 42
- ED Volume: Annual volume of 40000; 15% treated by Fast Track (staffed by APP)
- Trauma Level: 3
- Admission Rates: 22% admitted per day; <1% transferred
- Supervision: Locum will supervise APP and residents; ED staff does not respond to house codes.
Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly Pay: $250 $270 / hour
- Holiday and OT Pay: 1.5x hourly rate
- Orientation Rate: 1/2 of hourly rate for training
- Car fuel mileage and hotel. (Cap at $150/Day)
Requirements:
- Board Certified in ABEM or AOBEM (no BE) – Required
- Michigan License – Required at time of name clear
- BLS Certification – Required
- Clean background for credentialing – Required
- Must be local to Michigan – Required
Procedures/Skills Required:
- Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine skills including:
- Adult and pediatric outpatient care
- Newborn resuscitation
- Suturing incision & drainage and orthopedic care
- EKG interpretation central/arterial line placement
- Arthrocentesis lumbar puncture paracentesis
