Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our team. The Tax Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and managing various taxrelated activities including planning compliance and consulting services. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with clients senior leadership and other team members to deliver highquality tax solutions while fostering client relationships and driving business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage tax planning initiatives for clients including analysing complex tax issues and developing effective strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns for individuals corporations and other entities ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide proactive tax advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of tax matters including entity structuring mergers and acquisitions and tax implications of business transactions.
- Prepare instruction letters for the execution of corporate reorganizations estate & postmortem tax planning business succession planning and the purchase and sale of a business
- Conducting tax research and interpreting tax legislation and proposed legislative changes to suggest proactive solutions to clients and Partners
- Collaborate with other departments and team members to identify opportunities for crossselling services and delivering comprehensive solutions to clients.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff providing guidance training and support to foster their professional growth and development.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication responsiveness to client needs and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field; Canadian CPA designation required.
- Has completed the CPA indepth Tax Course
- Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience in a public accounting practice with a minimum of three (3) years specializing in taxation
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Proven leadership and management abilities with experience in supervising and developing staff.
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Exceptional client service orientation with a dedication to building and maintaining longterm client relationships.
