Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented Data Analyst/Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on designing developing and maintaining data pipelines and workflows that leverage Teradata Alteryx and SQL/DWH to drive business insights. The ideal candidate will have experience in ETL processes data manipulation and analytics and will play a key role in optimizing and managing data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Data Management: Design implement and maintain ETL pipelines in Teradata and SQLbased environments. Ensure efficient data integration from various sources into a central data warehouse.
- Data Analysis: Use Alteryx for data preparation transformation and analysis to generate business reports dashboards and adhoc queries.
- SQL Development: Write complex SQL queries to extract analyze and transform data in Teradata and other SQLbased environments.
- Data Warehousing: Ensure best practices for database design dimensional modeling and optimization of data warehouses.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts data scientists and other stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure the delivery of actionable insights.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize Teradata SQL queries and workflows in Alteryx for better performance and efficiency.
- Automation: Automate routine data processes reporting and integration tasks using Alteryx workflows and SQL scripts.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation on data pipelines workflows and key metrics. Assist in generating reports and visualizations.
- Teradata: Strong experience in Teradata architecture querying and managing largescale data systems. Familiarity with Teradata utilities (BTEQ MLoad FastExport) is a plus.
- SQL: Advanced SQL skills for querying relational databases creating stored procedures and optimizing queries.
- Alteryx: Proficient in building data workflows and automation using Alteryx Designer including data cleansing transformation and integration from different sources.
- Data Warehousing: Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts including ETL processes star/snowflake schemas and dimensional modeling.
- ETL Tools: Experience with ETL processes using Teradata and other tools (e.g. Alteryx SSIS Informatica) to move transform and load data efficiently.
- Data Visualization (Optional): Experience with visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI for presenting data insights.
- Programming (Optional): Familiarity with Python or other programming languages used for data manipulation is a plus.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Data Science or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Teradata Alteryx SQL) would be a plus.
- Ability to work with crossfunctional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.
- Strong problemsolving skills with a focus on efficiency and scalability.
