Job Description
Job Title: Director / General Manager
Job Brief
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic senior manager to lead our steel pipe & coating manufacturing operations in Saudi Arabia. The designate will be responsible for setting up and overseeing the overall commercial & operations of all activities in the country including the production driving operational excellence efficiency and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership:
- Lead the production maintenance and logistics teams to achieve operational targets including safety quality production volume and cost.
- Oversee the setup of the steel fabrication production unit ensuring all operational aspects are efficiently managed.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks ensuring compliance with safety environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Performance Management:
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Fully accountable for the realization of internal sales of the site as per budget and aligning capacity to sales demand.
- Team Development:
- Build lead and develop a highperforming team fostering innovation collaboration and continuous learning.
- Recruit train and manage staff to deliver top customer service and operational excellence.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders including government authorities ministries legal entities and regulatory bodies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including customers partners and government agencies.
- Financial Management:
- Manage budgets financial plans and control expenditures to ensure financial health.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify business opportunities.
Qualifications & requirements
- Graduate with Masters in management.
- Engineering degree Civil/Mech/Elec will be an advantage.
- Overall 15 years of experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in setting up and managing production units specifically in the steel fabrication industry or in steel pipe & coating production.
- Strong knowledge of the local market conditions and business practices in Saudi Arabia.
- Excellent leadership communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Fluency in Arabic; preference for Arab nationality.
- Ability to adapt to a multicultural environment.
