Job Overview
We are seeking to fill three Senior Cyber Security Analyst positions to support the Florida Department of Transportation. In this hybrid role you will play a pivotal part in safeguarding our clients systems and data. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement and maintain cybersecurity strategies that ensure confidentiality integrity and availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and document firewall infrastructure access rules using technologies such as Palo Alto Checkpoint and GlobalProtect VPNs.
- Deploy firewalls migrate rules and convert existing rulebased policies to new platforms.
- Work with critical core network infrastructure devices (e.g. firewalls VPNs log collectors) to secure the IT environment.
- Configure cloud network infrastructure security policies monitor network traffic and maintain compliance.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation in alignment with NIST guidelines.
- Manage security for multiple IT functional areas including data systems network and Web.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures including user logon rules breach escalation procedures and security audits.
- Prepare status reports on security matters and develop risk analysis scenarios and response strategies.
- Track and monitor software viruses investigate security violations and document security controls.
- Evaluate and recommend tools and procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
- Provide direct support to IT staff and business teams for securityrelated issues.
- Educate teams on security policies and consult on userbuilt/managed systems.
- Represent the organizations security needs in all IT projects.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of networking databases systems and Web operations.
- 46 years of combined IT and security work experience including systems analysis application development and database administration.
- 12 years of experience with information security tools based on NIST standards.
- Knowledge of security issues techniques and implications across computer platforms.
- Experience with Palo Alto or Checkpoint security products.
- Proficiency in using schematic diagramming tools to map infrastructure layouts.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in developing enterprise security strategies and managing security projects.
- Strong expertise in handling complex security issues across an organization.
