Junior Data & Operations Specialist at Levels.fyi a USbased career guide for tech giants
Levels.fyi is a leading online platform that helps users compare career levels and compensation packages across different companies with over 1 million monthly users. They are passionate about salary transparency and helping individuals build their careers with informed decisions. Their small (13 people) but mighty team works with some of the biggest names in the industry including Netflix Bloomberg TikTok and IBM.
The history of the company began with college friends Zaheer Mohiuddin and Zuhayeer Musa who graduated and began to look for a job in the software industry. There was enough factual information about vacancies but the main question that bothered recent graduates was how much employees in this industry earn. Of course information on this issue is often hidden by technology companies so friends came up with the idea why not start a company that will provide potential candidates with such information So this is where the story of Levels.fyi began!
Levels.fyis negotiation service has been growing significantly and has become the companys largest revenue stream in just a few months. Levels.fyis negotiators help with drafting emails and call scripts and even can provide mock negotiations. Theyve shown signs of success so farthe founders say that some candidates whove used their service have increased their firstyear compensation by $80000 to $130000.
Now they are looking for a Junior Data & Operations Specialist to join our growing team. This role will primarily focus on datadriven tasks including conducting research managing and organizing data and assisting with data entry and verification. Additionally the position involves handling customer support and managing administrative tasks. Youll have the chance to work closely with the founding team and contribute to a missiondriven company making a significant impact in the tech industry!
What will you do
Data entry: accurately input data into company systems and databases ensuring high attention to detail.
Data organization and maintenance: regularly update maintain and systematically organize existing data and digital files to ensure information is accurate uptodate and easily accessible when needed.
Data verification: verify the accuracy and completeness of data including daily salary submissions ensuring all information is correct and meets required standards.
Research: gather data on company structures employee benefits and other relevant topics.
Customer support: provide timely responses to user inquiries on the company site offer guidance on services and handle email communication.
Content creation: write blog posts and create content on topics such as Career Paths for Software Engineers and Understanding Compensation at Amazon.
Startup support: take on additional tasks that may arise in a dynamic startup environment.
Requirements:
Fluent English: strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to conduct research and write content in English.
Research & Analysis: ability to assess the relevance and quality of information efficiently conducting both research and datarelated tasks.
Google Suite proficiency: proficient in using Google Docs Sheets and other tools within the Google ecosystem to manage data create documents and generate reports.
Communicative skills: ability to handle customer support inquiries with clear effective communication.
Diligence & persistence: thorough and persistent in conducting research and finding new information sources.
Quick learner: ready to dive into new processes and learn unfamiliar software or tools.
SelfReliance & autonomy: ability to work independently and manage your tasks effectively.
Proactive team player: willing to contribute ideas and collaborate creatively with the team.
Multitasking skills: you feel confident juggling multiple types of tasks at a time.
Excellent organizing skills: you track each task in your calendar always check that everything is done on time never forget about clients or colleagues and proactively communicate with them always put all the needed information into the needed folders/databases etc.
Not necessary but will be a plus:
If you have knowledge of data analysis
If you understand how tech companies operate in todays world.
Working hours:
To make sure you can work with USbased colleagues well need you to be ready to have an approximate schedule of working from 9 am to 5 pm Pacific Time (you may check the time difference via the link).
What we offer:
Fulltime job (8 hours per day MondayFriday). Please note that we will not consider candidates planning to combine several jobs.
Remote work. You may be located in almost any country just need a good Internet connection a computer to work from and the opportunity to adjust your working schedule for the team.
Stability. This is not project work we consider only the candidates looking for a longterm commitment of 1.5 years.
