Job Description
Position : Quality Control
Job location : Pipavav Gujarat
Salary : 22 LPA
Experience :
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering Quality Management or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Quality Control AWS/CSWIP Welding inspector Six Sigma ISO Lead/Internal Auditor or ASQ Certified Quality Manager are highly advantageous.
Preferred Experience:
- 10 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within ship repairs or a related manufacturing industry with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience managing quality control processes conducting internal audits and ensuring compliance with industry standards specific to ship repairs.
- Preferred: Indepth knowledge of quality management principles tools and methodologies such as ISO 9001 AS9100 and Six Sigma.
Functional and Behavioral Competency:
- Quality Control Expertise: Indepth understanding of quality control processes testing and inspection methods specific to ship repairs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Strong knowledge of industry regulations safety standards and certification processes relevant to quality control in ship repairs.
- Thorough Knowledge of Quality Management: Proficient in quality management principles techniques and tools such as statistical process control root cause analysis and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
- Familiarity with International Standards: Knowledge of international quality standards and regulations applicable to ship repairs including ISO 9001 ISO 14001 OHSAS 18001 and relevant classification society rules.
- Process Improvement & Efficiency: Proficiency in driving continuous improvement initiatives streamlining workflows and optimizing resource utilization within ship repairs.
- Supplier Management: Ability to evaluate audit and collaborate with suppliers to maintain highquality standards for materials and services in ship repairs.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in quality management software ERP systems and MS Office for data analysis reporting and documentation.
- Analytical & ProblemSolving Skills: Ability to analyze quality data identify areas for improvement and implement effective corrective actions.
