Job Description
- Ensure to maintain all laundry machines equipment & chemicals and detergents required to wash the laundry.
- Sort laundry items by kind color and heavy soiled medium soiled light soiled and separate dry cleaning from laundry items.
- Check linen/ uniforms for damage stains etc and ensure to inform the Laundry Supervisor about the defects noted.
- Load proper number of items and quantity or weight into washing machines add detergents or chemicals as required and ensure to operate the machine carefully.
- Ensure to remove stains from the items using the proper stain removers and according to the standard procedures.
- Examine laundered items to ensure cleanliness.
- Ensure that all the Standard Operating Procedures set for the department are followed.
- Handle additional responsibilities as and when delegated by Management.
