Job Summary:
We are seeking a detailoriented and organized Storekeeper to manage our inventory and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory management principles and be proficient in using inventory management software. You will be responsible for receiving storing and distributing goods as well as maintaining accurate records of inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts to verify stock levels.
- Identify and address inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder items as needed to avoid stockouts.
- Receiving and Dispatching:
- Receive and inspect incoming goods for quantity quality and damage.
- Verify purchase orders and invoices against received goods.
- Store goods in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Pick and pack orders for dispatch ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Warehouse Organization:
- Maintain a clean organized and safe warehouse environment.
- Implement efficient storage and retrieval systems.
- Optimize warehouse layout to maximize space utilization.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain detailed records of all inventory transactions including receipts issues and returns.
- Prepare reports on inventory levels stock movements and other relevant data.
- Comply with all relevant inventory control procedures and regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory management role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Proficiency in inventory management software.
- Forklift operator certification (preferred).
