Job Description

Position: Radiologic Technologist

Start Date: 9/23/2024

Duration: 13 Weeks

Location: Pittsfield MA 01201

Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Evenings 3:00 PM 11:00 PM 8

Shift Notes: 8hr days 40hr guarantee

Weekend Requirements: TBD/Holiday coverage if required

OnCall Requirements: None

COVID Vaccination: COVID VACCINATION (dose date on or after 10/3/23) NOW REQUIRED FOR THIS HEALTH SYSTEM. Exemption forms are available in Downloadable Forms (Both forms REQUIRE Provider/Religious Leader Signatures) or please ask your delivery team for documents. IF APPROVED BY THE HEALTH SYSTEM TRAVELER WILL WEAR A MASK AT ALL TIMES WHILE ON SITE. To avoid delays in processing please include the travelers COVID vaccination card/or intent to fill out the exemption form with profile submission.

Travel Policy: Candidates Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates 50mile radius restriction)

** Requested time off during this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD WILL NOT BE APPROVED!! NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better).

  • DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
  • Perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and ingenuity. Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by the Lead Technologist Administrative Director or Operations Manager.
  • Proper care of the client following the departmental and hospital policies and
  • procedures is required. May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by the Operations Manager or Lead Technologist.
  • Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Demonstrates proper operation of PACS HIS and RIS computer systems. Demonstrates ability to operate and troubleshoot CR DR and PACs applications. Attends annual mandatory education to include bloodborne pathogens infection control and body substance isolation. Maintains department competencies as required.
  • Must have excellent patient care skills. Must be current with all continuing education for both radiology and mammography
Submission Requirements
  • 2 years experience 1 YEAR CURRENT EXPERIENCE
  • ARRT (R) Certification Required
  • Meditech Expanse experience is strongly preferred
  • Must be willing to work weekends and evenings

  • 1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment)
  • License/Certifications Must be uploaded with profile including Covid Vaccination proofs (dated on or after 10/3/23) or intent to file an exemption form

  • BLS (AHA)
