Job Description

Precision Imaging Centers is currently searching for a full time Radiologic Technologist Assistant interested in expanding your career to work at our Gate Parkway. Precision Imaging Centers serve ambulatory outpatients only. There is no call. Hours will be Monday through Friday evenings from 2 pm to 10 pm. Shifts may vary based on business needs.

As a Radiologic Technologist Assistant you will need venipuncture experience and a willingness to learn. Experience with positioning patients for Imaging is strongly desired. You will also need to be able to work flexible shifts as needed.

Position Overview
The Radiologic Technologist Assistant will be responsible for assisting Technologists in daily duties to provide quality handson patient care. This role will require physical endurance and maintaining a fastpaced performance while exemplifying genuine concern for the health of the patient. The safety of patients is the assistant s main priority. Assistant must be hardworking and dependable with excellent time management skills. Ability to handle unexpected/emergent issues BLS certification and knowledge of radiologic procedures are encouraged and important to the success of this position.

Essential Job Functions

Obtains patient history & screens them for safety.(20%)
Begins venipuncture when applicable.(15%)
Capability to explain procedure to patient.(10%)
Ensure accuracy on all present & future orders.(15%)
Changes & positions patient for exam.(30%)
Coordinates multiple exam workflow for patients.(10%)

Requirements

Education Required
High School Diploma/ GED required
AA/ AS degree preferred

Previous Related Work Experience Required (include number of years)
Medical Terminology (1 year)

Previous Supervisory/Manager Experience Required (include number of years and scope)

Other Skills/Abilities
Strong written & verbal communication

Ability to work in a high paced environment

Knowledge of medical terminology and radiological procedures

Experience Assisting with MR Imaging and knowledge of MRI safety

Venipuncture

Physical and Working Requirements of the Position (such as job location lifting standing etc.)
Ability to lift/ carry greater than 25 lbs.
Extended standing & walking

Work Availability / hours required (standard evenings weekends split shift etc.)
Varies based on needs must be able to work weekends and evenings if needed
