Infrastructure Network Engineer
Duration: 12 months
Location: Dallas Texas UT Southern Medical Campus and other sites within a 10 mile radius

Job Summary:
Need someone that can help out in a physical environment. The work requires physical exertion with installing removing and connecting network devices. Need a candidate that has a network CCST or comparable experience.

Refresh is covered at the moment.
Building getting remodelled and one getting flushed out.
50 Switches in each location configuration and some new hardware
100 Cisco Switches
Wireless Aruba but is mainly focused on another team.
Wired Infrastructure mainly
Layer One Snyder 1500 UPS
A lot of tasks will be project related

Un palatizing switches
Some structured cabling work.
Must be able to hit the ground running.
Person must be onsite.
Could be some schedule shift.
No need to have strong firewall experience but Palo Alto would be great.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Works directly with other Engineers to document and plan network communications systems.
Performs IP administration for server registration and renewals. Working knowledge of DNS/DHCP operations.
Troubleshoots network components and recommends improvements to the network. Has experience deploying and diagnosing access switches.
First level support for Call Center ServiceNow assignments.
Understands and diagnoses TCP/IP connectivity in computing systems through firewalls WAN links and internet connectivity.
Generates reports from monitoring systems pertaining to network bandwidth utilization and other traffic patterns. Able to utilize network monitoring systems to gauge network health and problem diagnosis.
Performs and evaluates data network components under the direction of managers and participation with other levels of engineers.
Remains knowledgeable of changes in technology industry practices and state and federal regulatory requirements by attending training trade shows and related venues.
Performs network switch and UPS deployment as directed and as part of ongoing expansion projects.
Participates in oncall rotation whose duties include nights and weekends which may require repair or replacement of network components.
Participates in scheduled change windows
