Job Description
Job Title: Senior Systems Engineering
Location: Fairfax Virginia (Onsite)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Analyze current systems server configurations and storage subsystems to ensure optimal performance.
- Verify and recommend changes to existing configurations within the Fairfax County IT infrastructure.
- Design implement and integrate new IT solutions and products.
- Perform system administration tasks troubleshooting and performance tuning across a range of technologies.
- Collaborate with teams to deploy and manage enterprisewide solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in systems engineering network design infrastructure architecture and solution deployment.
- MCSE certification or equivalent documented expertise.
- Strong experience with Windows Server (2012Rand newer).
- Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services and Group Policy Management.
- Proficient in SCCM and Intune for Systems Center Endpoint Management.
- Handson experience with Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019 Office365 and Windows Terminal Server.
- Experience managing SQL Server (and beyond) and Microsoft SharePoint Server (MSS).
- Knowledge of Windows Image Format Windows Deployment Services and Windows OS deployment.
- Scripting proficiency in PowerShell Bash for Windows Visual Basic and Batch Scripting for systems management.
- Familiarity with Apache Unix server environments Solaris and Linux (RedHat).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
