Job Description:
We are seeking a
Configuration Analyst to support
Configuration Management (CM) activities related to the design development and production of complex systems within a defense environment. The successful candidate will manage configuration changes and apply CM processes according to company policies procedures and CM plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Configuration Management (CM) tasks ensuring systematic and measurable management of changes to approved configurations.
- Deliver and maintain the Engineering Technical Data Package (TDP) and ensure compliance with the CM Plan.
- Support configuration audits quality checks and resolve problems using company policies and standard procedures.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Engineering Quality Logistics Procurement and Manufacturing to ensure CM activities are effectively integrated.
- Communicate solutions practices and procedures clearly to stakeholders within the organization.
- Required Skills:
- Proficient in database usage.
- Strong computer skills particularly with the MS Office Suite (including preparing metrics reports and documentation).
- Effective communication skills both oral and written.
- Detailoriented with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with company personnel customers and suppliers.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- General knowledge of Configuration Management (CM) standards design engineering standards and military standards such as MILHDBK61A MILSTD31000 EIA649 and ASME Y14.24/Y14.100.
- Preferred Skills:
- Formal training in Configuration Data Management (CDM).
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (including complex formulas).
- Familiarity with CMMI requirements.
- Strong research and presentation skills.
- Experience using WindChill for managing product data.
- Experience & Education Required:
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline and 4 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in the defense industry is highly preferred.
