Job Description:
Scope:
1. 24X7 support for PostgreSQL Databases incident support
2. Administrative actions
Monitoring Databases
Creating new Databases
Activating new Databases
Deactivating old Databases
Monitoring and fixing Database backup issues
Handling priority and complex issues
65 Postgres databases running within Docker containers and two BARMAN backup servers (also running in Docker container).
Job Description:
Subject matter expert with handson experience supporting PostgreSQL. This role will be primarily focused on production database administration for PostgreSQL databases and Docker container.
Responsibilities:
Install monitor and maintain PostgreSQL implement monitoring and alerting implement backup and recovery processes provide system and SQL performance tuning and assist in business process integration with various data sources.
Fulfils user requests ranging from access control backup restore refresh to nonproduction to performance tuning.
Provides online & on call coverage for production support and administration of PostgreSQL databases.
