As an Accounting Manager you will be a key member of our finance team supporting the Head of Accounting in general financial operations and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Your role will involve preparing and reviewing financial statements analyzing financial data and collaborating with various departments to maintain financial integrity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:Manage daytoday accounting operations ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
Prepare comprehensive financial statements within stipulated deadlines including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
Develop implement and monitor effective internal controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data.
Analyze financial data to provide insights that support strategic decisionmaking.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial information for reporting purposes.
Support regular monthly closing activities.
Participate in ongoing system implementations ensuring accurate capture of financial data; may involve user acceptance testing (UAT).
Support external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations at both group and subsidiary levels.
Contribute to process improvements to enhance the efficiency of financial reporting procedures.
Supervise mentor and train accounting staff providing guidance and direction.
Oversee accounts payable management ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Manage cash flow banking relationships and treasury operations.
Must be a CPA with a degree in Accounting.
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems under pressure.
At least 8 years of experience in general accounting and financial reporting with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
A team player who is eager to learn and grow.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform selfchecks.
Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency in accounting systems.
Strong understanding of IFRS and consolidating financial statements.
Experience working in a bank or other financial institution is essential.
Some experience in an audit firm is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic startup environment.
