Job Description
Job Title: Azure Developer (US Citizen Only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop logical physical and conceptual data models that meet the organizations data management needs.
- Collaborate with business analysts data architects and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into data models.
- Ensure that data models support business processes and align with data governance and quality standards.
- Optimize and maintain existing data models to improve performance and scalability.
- Implement data modeling best practices and ensure consistency across all data models.
- Work with database administrators to implement and maintain physical data models in various database environments.
- Participate in data integration projects ensuring that data models support the integration of data from multiple sources.
- Conduct data model reviews and provide guidance on data modeling practices to other team members.
- Create and maintain data dictionaries ER diagrams and other documentation to support data models.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data modeling and database design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Data Science or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
- Experience in data modeling database design or a related role.
- Strong understanding of database management systems (DBMS) including SQL Server Oracle MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency with data modeling tools such as ER/Studio Erwin or PowerDesigner.
- Experience in designing and implementing data warehouses data marts and OLAP cubes.
- Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes.
- Experience in data governance data quality and data stewardship principles.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop Spark) and cloudbased databases (e.g. AWS Azure) is a plus.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python R or SQL is preferred.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance
