Job Description
Summary:A dedicated Network Engineer that will work alongside and support the Edwards Jones Branch Network Team. The ideal Network Engineer includes a strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware. They will implement administer operate and troubleshoot network devices with a focus on SDWAN cellular networks and skillsets in Velocloud & VMWare policy and configuration.
Responsibilities:
Design deploy and manage functional networks (LAN WLAN SDWAN etc.)
Configure and install software servers routers and other network devices
Manage and ensure the efficiency of security solutions as they intersect with the Edward Jones network such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems
Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports
Identify troubleshoot resolve and document network connectivity and performance issues
Support application development teams throughout project and product lifecycles
Liaise with vendors other IT personnel and contract teams as they relate to service requests and issue resolutionSkills:
Proven experience as a Network Engineero3 years of experience as a Network Engineer for Level 1 o5 years of experience as a Network Engineer for Level 2
Handson experience with SDWAN hardware and networking
Handson experience with Velocloud Cradleopint and other cellular and wide area network technologies
Understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS Cisco IOS)
Profession Certification (e.g. CCNP CCDP etc.)
Familiarity with cloudbased infrastructure solutions
Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work under pressure
Agile Methodology experience
