Job Description
Role: WiFi Test Engineer
Location: Philadelphia PA(Onsite )
Job Description:
WiFi extender product testing and defect validation
Thorough knowledge and understanding of 802.11b/g/n/ac/ax) standards and specs
Familiarity with IoT testing(Zigbee Bluetooth Thread etc.)
InterOp testing(CE CPE etc.)
Rate vs orientation Rate vs. Range performance tests using RF isolation chambers
Work with traffic Generators( iGen Ixia Chariot iPerf etc.)
Enhanced WiFi feature testing
Need for a product lead who has the ability to present and communicate test data (written and
verbally) to exec level management
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
4 years of technical experience directly working with WiFi in computer architecture and data communications& experience in WLAN.
Experience with Wireless technology testing which includes Wireless APs Routers Wireless extenders & Wireless standards (802.11b/g/n/ac/ax)
Knowledge of realworld wireless environments.
Experience working with TCP/IP UDP IPv4/IPv6 addressing Ethernet DHCP DNS ICMP ARP NAT Bridging Switching.
Familiarity with industry standard WiFi test tools like Veriwave IXIA Chariot and packet debuggers like Wireshark Omnipeek and Savius.
Preferable knowledge in secondary home networking technologies such as Bluetooth Zigbee MoCA and Ethernet in a DOCSIS environment.
Preferable knowledge of wifi extenders.
Comfortable in some scripting language of choice
Must be able to work independently
Excellent Debugging skills & experience troubleshooting
Working knowledge of UNIXbased systems and commandline tools for analysis and automation Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Thrive in a collaborative environment and can clearly communicate while confidently driving multiple projects across many teams
Excellent communication skills ability to work independently.
