Job Summary:

As an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) you will be responsible for the installation configuration management and maintenance of Oracle databases both standalone and RAC (Real Application Clusters). Your role will involve performing backups recovery operations and managing database performance and availability. You will also be tasked with troubleshooting issues related to database synchronization managing Data Guard and GoldenGate and ensuring the smooth operation of Oracle database systems. Additionally you will be responsible for performing database patches data export/import and database housekeeping tasks.

• Install and upgrade Oracle standalone and RAC databases in Linux and Windows environments.
• Manage Oracle database users passwords and profiles.
• Perform tablespace management (add resize datafiles add tablespaces).
• Configure and maintain RMAN catalogs and perform manual RMAN backups (Incremental/Full).
• Restore database backups using RMAN.
• Check and troubleshoot Data Guard standby sync issues ensuring synchronization is in place.
• Perform database failovers to the Data Guard standby server and viceversa.
• Check the GoldenGate sync status and troubleshoot sync lag issues.
• Analyze AWR/ASH & ADDM reports to identify and address database performance issues.
• Generate trace files using Tkprof and OS Watcher tools for performance analysis.
• Perform database housekeeping tasks such as purging defragmentation and index rebuilds.
• Ensure the database environment is optimized secure and regularly updated with PSU/RU/OJVM patches.
• Perform export/import of databases tables and schemas using Datapump.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues implementing performance tuning techniques as necessary.

• Proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
• Expertise in Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters).
• Experience in RMAN backup and recovery processes.
• Strong understanding of Data Guard and GoldenGate configuration and troubleshooting.
• Ability to analyze AWR/ASH & ADDM reports for performance tuning.
• Expertise in performing database patches export/import using Datapump and housekeeping tasks.

GoodtoHave Skills:

• Familiarity with statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience with data munging techniques including data cleaning transformation and normalization.
