Lanpro is a forwardthinking multidisciplinary consultancy which provides exceptional planning design and environmental services across the UK underpinned by regional knowledge servicespecific expertise and strong client relationships.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Director (Landscape Planning background) to lead develop and shape our design team in York.

Working as a key part of the Landscape management team youll be responsible for account managing major projects and delivering a highquality reporting. You will be the key part of shaping the business with a Landscape led approach through delivering excellence and supporting the wider design team through development mentorship embracing a multidisciplinary approach and always instilling high quality standards of delivery.

At times there will also be the opportunity to support clients on projects large and small across an array of sectors including Renewable Energy Residential Town centre and Public Realm and Assets and Estates however primary focus will be Infrastructure projects of significance at a national scale. This will be from inception through to completion which will notedly include producing LVIA management plans method statements and Landscape strategies which support a multidisciplinary approach.


  • We are looking for someone who has experience of running a team with an array of different levels of skills and experience
  • CMLI qualified with at least 5 years of experience operating in a leadership level (desirable)
  • Good level of consultancy experience in a landscape planning role with a strong understanding of planning policy and process
  • Experience of working on NSIP DCO Projects (desirable)
  • Strong key account management experience working on large scale projects
  • Confidence in undertaking site surveys and LVIA / TVIA assessments
  • Excellent report writing skills and ability to provide quality assurance for the team
  • Experience of authoring EIA Chapters
  • Selfmotivated with an organised approach to managing workload
  • Strong capabilities in Project Management
