Since inception Taxaide has consistently taken on the responsibility of managing the tax and fiscal affairs of an average of over 15000 corporate and individual clients in Nigeria annually. The Taxaide business is today organised around the following 3 services desks:
- Tax Audits Services Desk: Assisting clients with tax audits investigations and regularizations.
- Corporate and Personal Tax Services Desk: Handling corporate income transactional and employment tax obligations for organizations and individuals.
- Accounting Services Desk: Managing bookkeeping financial reporting and accounting audits.
The business is currently scaling up their operations with the need to fill the role of Senior Associate Tax Audit.
The Senior Associate Tax Audit will be responsible for overseeing and managing tax affairs of all Clients providing each with sustainable tax solutions. This role work directly with the Senior Associate and Supervising Partner to meet the Tax Desk s financial targets.
Role Description:
1.0You will largely be responsible for:
1.1Ensure detailed knowledge of the tax affairs of all Clients providing each with sustainable tax solutions.
1.2Lead yourself and your team members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery to all Clients.
1.3Originate new Clients for the Company and originate new work from existing Clients for the Company.
1.4Provide thought leadership in your chosen areas of interest in taxation by periodic practice development activities.
1.5Undertake multiple engagements and work with your Team members and other professionals and business support personnel in the provision of all service needs of Clients.
1.6Deepen the knowledge base of the Company in the Tax Desks assigned to you.
1.7Identify and make detailed propositions for any new Tax Desk for the Company.
1.8Maintain healthy relationships with all regulators and relevant tax authorities whose action or inaction may have a direct or indirect impact on the business of the Company.
1.9Manage risks and ensure that the practice of the Company is in accordance with extant laws and regulations at all times.
1.10Document all important correspondences with Clients both on SharePoint/Company s server/electronically and manually.
1.11Keep all practice related information particularly Clients information as confidential as possible.
1.12Support your Supervising Partner in all his practice development efforts.
1.13Work directly with your Supervising Partner to meet your Tax Desk s financial targets.
1.14Publish a minimum of 3 tax and related articles in a local or international journal.
1.15Provide overall knowledge character and discipline in all your assigned responsibilities in the Company.
1.16Originate new work from existing Clients for the Company.
1.17Effectively manage and maintain healthy and profitable relationships with all existing Clients of the Company resolving all issues in a timely and profitable manner.
1.18Subject to the Company s Training Policy attend and undertake training in any area that will be of benefit to your professional advancement.
1.19Mentor and supervise any intern or other personnel assigned to you for mentorship.
1.20Maintain a healthy worklife balance ensuring you create time from your busy schedule to attend to the most meaningful relationships in your life.
1.21Constantly update yourself on all areas of business development tax practice and ancillary disciplines including acquiring new skills and expertise valuable to yourself and the Company.
1.22Efficiently complete all other tasks as may be assigned by Management.
Requirements
2.0You are expected to be or have:
2.1A bachelors degree in accounting or related financial field and be a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
2.2Must possess a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in a related role where 5 years must be in Tax Audit function.
2.3Quick and sound decisionmaking ability is mandatory.
2.4Must be charismatic with a strong sense of judgment.
2.5Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
2.6Selfdirected and able to work with no supervision.
2.7Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
2.8Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint SharePoint and Excel)
