Primary job responsibilities include:
- Review and prepare federal and multistate tax returns on a timely and efficient basis; to include business partnerships individuals notforprofit and trust returns
- Review and prepare annual tax provisions and tax planning calculations for estimate and extension purposes
- Research complex tax matters in order to summarize results and propose resolutions
- Monitor and communicate legislative and regulatory tax law developments
- Supervise and train members of the tax team
- Develop and sustain strong client relationships
- Respond to client inquires and taxing authorities
- Perform other accounting and tax duties as assigned
Qualifications:

- Strong candidates for this position should be motivated reliable and possess:
- A bachelors degree in accounting or a related major is required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- At least six years of prior experience in public accounting
- Strong knowledge of tax laws
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to articulate complex information
- Knowledge of the following software programs is preferred
- QuickBooks Desktop and Online
- Microsoft Office in particular Excel and Word
- CCH ProSystem FX or Axcess Tax
- Caseware
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and to analyze problems logically and comprehensively distinguishing between relevant and irrelevant information
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
- Ability to handle sensitive/confidential matters in a tactful and discreet manner
- Strong interpersonal skills including the capability to effectively present information and respond to clients needs.
