Field Engineer (Networks)
Location: Carlsbad CA
Travel: Up to 50% (2 weeks per month)

Position Summary:
As a Field Network Engineer youll be the backbone of our WiFi infrastructure. Youll design deploy and manage robust WiFi networks across our communities ensuring seamless connectivity for residents and associates. This role is a blend of handson technical expertise and collaborative problemsolving.
Key Responsibilities:
- WiFi Network Design and Optimization: Plan and implement highperformance WiFi networks that meet the needs of our diverse communities.
- Site Surveys and Heat Mapping: Conduct thorough site surveys to assess network coverage and identify areas for improvement.
- Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Utilize advanced tools to monitor network performance troubleshoot issues and proactively optimize the user experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the IT Services and Infrastructure Group on IT infrastructure projects ensuring seamless integration of network solutions.
- Field Support: Travel to our communities nationwide to provide onsite expertise and support for networkrelated projects and issues.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with thirdparty vendors to ensure the successful delivery of network services.
- Documentation and Training: Develop comprehensive network documentation and provide training to community staff on network best practices.
- Technology Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve by researching and implementing emerging WiFi technologies.
- Network Security: Implement and manage network security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of WiFi networking concepts and protocols.
- Proven experience in designing deploying and optimizing WiFi networks.
- Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting wireless devices.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Experience with Ruckus/CommScope or RG Nets is a plus.
