JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of this role is to provide strategic Human Capital Management lead and manage talent acquisition and recruitment employee capacity planning and management employment relations and engagement as well as develop and lead integrated performance management for all BURS staff. This is a senior management role which reports to the Commissioner: Corporate Services .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and implements comprehensive human capital strategies to support BURS s strategic objectives and operational needs.
Leads the human capital development initiatives including training and professional development programs to build a skilled and capable workforce. Oversees workforce planning and analytics to ensure BURS has the right talent in place to meet current and future challenges.
Manages the reward and recognition programs to motivate and retain employees ensuring competitive and equitable compensation and benefits.
Directs the employment relations function to maintain a positive work environment manages labour relations health and wellness and employee grievances.
Implements effective talent management and succession planning processes to identify and develop future leaders.
Utilises HR technology systems to streamline HR processes and improve data management and analytics.
Collaborates with senior management to align human capital policies and practices with organisational goals.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor s Degree in either Human Resources Management Business Administration or any related field. A Master s degree or professional HR certification (e.g. SHRM CIPD) is highly preferred.
At least 8 years experience in human resources with a minimum of 3 years in a senior management role.
