About this Position
- Title: Sr. Account Executive
- Location: DC Metro Area
- Compensation: Base Salary Commission (uncapped)
- Solution Experience: IaaS Security DR Hosting Colocation
- Sales Experience: 5 years technology solution sales
- Target Market: Commercial State/Federal Government
Responsibilities:
The Sr. Account Executive will be responsible for driving new business development within enterprise accounts and Federal agencies selling cloud infrastructure and data center solutions.
- Pursue inbound leads to identify needs and position the right solution
- Manage an indepth discovery process to qualify sales leads and opportunities
- Drive complex consultative sales process from lead to close
- Design highlevel technical solutions using Visio and other tools
- Diagnose customer pains and needs and present solutions
- Support technical teams in the development of proposals and RFP responses
- Use Salesforce.com to track sales activities and manage the sales pipeline
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to discuss technical solutions and services at a high level
- Knowledge of cloud service vendors like Amazon Rackspace Microsoft and VMWare
- Disciplined selfstarter detailoriented with the ability to multitask
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience selling technology solutions
- Deep technical aptitude with ability to design technical solutions
- Previous experience as a sales engineer a plus
