Job Description
Our client is a leading Hospitality & Leisure group based in the UAE.
As a Legal Counsel Leisure & Hospitality you will play a crucial role in providing legal advice and support to our leisure and hospitality business. They will be responsible for ensuring that the companys operations comply with the relevant laws and regulations in the leisure and hospitality industry. This position requires a deep understanding of the regulatory framework contract negotiation risk assessment. within the leisure and hospitality sector.
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support to the business unit
- Review draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements
- Ensure compliance with industryspecific regulations and standards
- Assess and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations
- Participate in the development and implementation of compliance programs
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business decisions
- Stay updated on legal developments and changes in the leisure and hospitality industry
- Manage external legal counsel and other legal service providers
- Conduct legal research and analysis as needed
- Support in the delivery of legal training and awareness programs
- Contribute to the development and improvement of legal processes and procedures
- Participate in due diligence for business transactions and partnerships
- Assist in regulatory filings and applications
- Handle any other legal matters as required
Required qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law preferably with a focus on the leisure and hospitality real estate Healthcare sector in the UAE
- Arabic language skills in a MUST
- Strong understanding of contract law and negotiation
- Expertise in regulatory compliance within the leisure and hospitality industry
- Ability to communicate complex legal issues effectively to nonlegal stakeholders
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Strategic and critical thinking abilities
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High ethical standards and integrity
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools
- Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations is a plus
