Overview
As an MBBS for OPD you will play a crucial role in providing medical assistance and care to outpatients. Your role is essential in ensuring the smooth functioning of the OPD and delivering quality healthcare services to patients.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct medical examinations and provide appropriate treatment for outpatients
- Document patient medical history and treatment plans accurately
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
- Prescribe medication and other necessary treatments
- Provide patient education on health management and preventive care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Manage and prioritize patient appointments efficiently
- Adhere to medical best practices and standards of care
- Participate in continuous medical education and training programs
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and recordkeeping
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Handle any medical emergencies in the OPD with prompt and efficient care
- Keep abreast of the latest medical research and advancements
- Contribute to the development of OPD protocols and guidelines
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
Required qualifications
- MBBS degree and valid medical license
- Proven experience working as a medical officer or physician in an outpatient setting
- Strong knowledge of medical practices and procedures
- Excellent diagnostic and decisionmaking abilities
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
