Roles and responsibilities
1. Product Handling and Distribution:
- Product Movement: Ensure the timely movement of FMCG products from warehouses to retail outlets, distribution centers, or directly to customers.
- Stock Monitoring: Monitor and track the stock levels of products, ensuring that there is no overstocking or stockouts in stores or warehouses.
- Product Labeling and Packaging: Ensure products are properly labeled and packaged according to company and regulatory guidelines to maintain product integrity.
- Shelf Management: For those involved in field or retail, ensure products are properly displayed on shelves, ensuring products are easy for customers to locate and that shelves are always fully stocked.
2. Quality Control and Compliance:
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet the required quality standards, both in terms of manufacturing and delivery to the consumer. This may include checking product packaging, labeling, and expiration dates.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all legal and industry regulations related to product safety, quality, and labeling. This can include compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Product Inspections: Regularly inspect products to ensure they meet internal and external quality benchmarks before distribution.
3. Customer Interaction and Sales Support:
- Customer Service: For FMC employees in customer-facing roles, assist customers by answering queries, providing product information, and resolving issues related to product orders or deliveries.
- Sales Support: Provide support to sales teams by organizing product demonstrations, managing promotional activities, or collecting feedback from customers.
- Field Sales or Merchandising: If the employee is in a field sales role, they may be responsible for driving product sales in stores, creating demand, negotiating with retail partners, and increasing product visibility.
