Job Description:
As an Entry Level Investment Banking Analyst specializing in Metals & Mining you will join our dynamic team dedicated to providing comprehensive financial services to clients within the metals and mining sector. You will play a vital role in supporting senior bankers in executing transactions conducting industry research and providing financial analysis to facilitate strategic decisionmaking.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial analysis including financial modeling valuation and company research within the metals and mining sector.
- Assist in the preparation of client presentations pitch books and marketing materials.
- Support senior bankers in executing mergers and acquisitions capital raising and other strategic transactions.
- Analyze industry trends market data and competitor performance to provide insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including legal compliance and risk management to ensure transactional integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain databases and tracking systems to monitor deal flow market activity and client interactions.
- Participate in client meetings conference calls and due diligence sessions as required.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal processes and methodologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Business Administration or related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
- Detailoriented with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel PowerPoint and Word.
- Prior internship or work experience in investment banking corporate finance or related field is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of the metals and mining industry is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced collaborative environment and willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
