  • Job Description:
    The Customer Service Representative (CSR) for the Residential Permit Parking program (RPP) provides customer service to participants of the RPP program. The CSR assists with processing permit applications educating the public about the program and providing outreach to various community groups. The role involves reviewing applications maintaining databases preparing reports and providing information about city parking laws and policies. The CSR works under the general supervision of the RPP Section Manager and Assistant Manager.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review new and renewal permit applications for accuracy.
    • Educate the public on RPP eligibility and processes.
    • Perform community outreach to engage local groups about the RPP program.
    • Maintain permit program databases and process deposits.
    • Run reports and provide data for special projects.
    • Support special permits issuance for unique parking situations.
    • Coordinate with city agencies and community organizations.
    • Organize and maintain permit inventory and filing systems.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience required.

    Skills:

    • Strong customer service and communication skills.
    • Ability to interpret parking laws and manage permit applications.
    • Basic math skills for handling money and processing transactions.
    • Proficiency in SQL database management and running reports preferred.

    Physical Requirements:

    • The role is primarily officebased with occasional light lifting (up to 20 pounds).
    • Frequent use of a phone and computer keyboard.
