Position Overview:
As a Player Service Supervisor at Fairmont Grand Del Mar you will play a key role in supporting the Golf Operations Manager by overseeing the Player Services team ensuring the highest levels of service efficiency and member satisfaction. This position requires a proactive leader who embodies our commitment to exceptional service club standards and safety while also serving as a welcoming presence for all members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service Excellence & Club Representation
- Act as an ambassador of Fairmont Grand Del Mar upholding values of courtesy professionalism and discretion with all colleagues members and guests.
- Greet each member and guest warmly ensuring a consistent positive experience throughout the facility.
- Operational Oversight & Cleanliness
- Support the Golf Operations Manager and Head Golf Professional by monitoring and evaluating team activities across all service areas (valet range bag and caddie).
- Ensure each area is wellmaintained clean and wellstocked with amenities addressing any immediate needs for ordering supplies or maintenance.
- Training & Development
- Serve as the primary trainer for the department using established resources to support new team member onboarding and ongoing skill development.
- Promote ongoing knowledge growth by encouraging team participation in training sessions and seminars relevant to golf operations and service excellence.
- Event Support
- Support the Head Golf Professional with tournament preparation and other departmental needs ensuring smooth event operations.
- Safety Compliance
- Uphold all Club safety regulations participating in ongoing safety seminars and attending resortwide safety meetings as required.
- Club Standards & Appearance
- Maintain a polished and professional appearance following Fairmont Grand Del Mar grooming standards.
- Adhere to Club dress code policies ensuring uniforms are clean and pressed with appropriate footwear.

Qualifications:
- Experience & Skills
- Valid drivers license required with two or more years of experience in a supervisory role or relevant golf service background.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English with members guests and colleagues.
- Familiarity with golf club operations including basic club repair and an understanding of members individual preferences.
- Flexibility to work weekends holidays and evenings as required.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs and push or pull up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods work outdoors and operate golf carts and other vehicles on uneven terrain.
Physical dexterity required for repetitive arm movements bending kneeling and squatting.
