Job Description

Job Title: Cofounder & Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Location: San Francisco (SF) or Los Angeles (LA) California (FullTime)

Compensation
  • Base Salary: $120000 $180000 per year
  • Equity Compensation: 0.5% 2% commensurate with experience and contributions
  • Performance Incentives: Bonuses tied to operational milestones and company growth

We are a profitable automotive company with multiple locations in Egypt now scaling operations in California as a Seedstage EV enterprise. Our mission is to transform the EV landscape by combining operational excellence with sustainable innovation. As we grow we seek a skilled and handson Cofounder & COO to lead our operational efforts drive efficiency and ensure a seamless expansion in the US market.

Role Overview

The Cofounder & COO will be a strategic partner to the CEO and a handson leader for all operational aspects of the business. This role requires extensive experience in automotive operations EV technology and scaling businesses. You will be instrumental in optimizing processes building teams and ensuring compliance as we transition into the competitive California EV market.

This is a groundfloor opportunity to join an ambitious scaling company and directly influence its trajectory. The role is based in either San Francisco or Los Angeles and requires fulltime commitment.

Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
  • Oversee and manage all operational processes to support the companys expansion into the US.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency quality and costeffectiveness.
  • Lead the establishment of production logistics and customer support frameworks in California.
Technical Expertise
  • Leverage automotive and EV knowledge to guide product innovation and operational processes.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to integrate advanced automation and manufacturing technologies.
  • Address operational challenges unique to EV scaling and regulatory compliance in the US market.
Strategic Execution
  • Work alongside the CEO to develop and implement strategic growth plans.
  • Align operational strategies with the companys shortterm and longterm objectives.
  • Scale systems and teams to support growth while ensuring profitability and operational excellence.
Compliance and Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with US safety environmental and regulatory standards for EV production.
  • Mitigate operational risks through proactive planning and process optimization.
Leadership and Culture Building
  • Recruit mentor and lead highperforming teams to execute the companys operational vision.
  • Foster a culture of innovation accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the companys mission and values in internal and external engagements.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience:

    • 5 years in operational leadership roles within the automotive or EV industry.
    • Direct experience with EV innovation and manufacturing is highly preferred.
    • Demonstrated success in scaling businesses or operations in a startup or growthstage environment.
  • Technical Expertise:

    • Strong knowledge of EV technologies including battery systems and automated manufacturing.
    • Familiarity with US automotive regulations and compliance standards.
  • Leadership Skills:

    • Proven ability to manage crossfunctional teams and deliver operational outcomes.
    • Strong organizational and decisionmaking skills with a focus on scalability.
  • Education:

    • Bachelors degree in Engineering Business Administration or a related field is required.
    • Advanced degrees or certifications in operations automotive engineering or supply chain management are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience with Tesla or comparable EV companies.
  • Previous startup or Seedstage company experience particularly in scaling operations.
  • Expertise in sustainability practices within the automotive industry.
  • Technical certifications such as Lean Six Sigma PMP or related credentials.
  • Multinational experience or familiarity with scaling businesses internationally.
