Roles and responsibilities

Four Seasons Alexandria is looking for a Spot Remover who will be responsible to remove all kinds of spots from the fabrics, linen, curtain, carpet, and clothing, and press the curtains, linen, and clothing.

and can deal with all kinds of chemicals, taking care of all the safety measures.

What Will You Do

1- Read all fabric labels and instructions before processing any items.

2- Set up, operate, clean and shut down all equipment used in the process.

3- Remove all spots and stains from fabric whenever possible.

4- Report any damaged fabric to the Manager and/or Assistant Manager.

5- Keep equipment and work area clean.

6-Report supply needs to Laundry/Valet Management.

7-Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.

What Will You Bring

• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.

• Laundry Collection and Delivery:

  • Collect soiled linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items from guest rooms, public areas, or departments.
  • Deliver clean, folded, or hung linens and towels to guest rooms, laundry rooms, or designated areas.
  • Ensure laundry items are delivered in an organized manner and sorted by category.

• Sorting and Organizing:

  • Sort laundry items by type, color, fabric, and cleanliness level to ensure proper washing, drying, and treatment.
  • Handle delicate fabrics and items with care to prevent damage.
  • Assist in maintaining the orderliness of the laundry room by organizing supplies and items.

• Transporting Laundry:

  • Safely transport laundry between the laundry facility, guest rooms, and other departments using carts or designated vehicles.

Desired candidate profile

• • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, and move large loads of laundry (up to 25-50 lbs), as well as bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills to efficiently sort and store laundry items, ensuring fast access and timely delivery.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to identify stains, damages, or mismatched items and report them for appropriate action.
  • Time Management: Ability to work efficiently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer Service: For establishments with direct guest interaction, excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deliver quality service.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment with laundry staff, housekeeping, and other hotel or facility departments.

• Physical Requirements:

  • Regular lifting, carrying, and pushing of heavy loads, as well as walking and standing for long periods.
  • Ability to work in various temperature conditions (hot and humid areas in the laundry room).

• Safety Awareness:

  • Ability to follow safety protocols when handling chemicals, cleaning agents, and operating machinery.
  • Awareness of and adherence to hygiene and infection control procedures.
