2- Set up, operate, clean and shut down all equipment used in the process.
3- Remove all spots and stains from fabric whenever possible.
4- Report any damaged fabric to the Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
5- Keep equipment and work area clean.
6-Report supply needs to Laundry/Valet Management.
7-Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
What Will You Bring
Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
Must be familiar with spotting chemicals.
. Washing and Drying Laundry
Loading and Unloading Machines: Load laundry into washing machines and dryers, ensuring that items are properly arranged to avoid damage and maximize cleaning efficiency.
Operating Equipment: Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and effectively. This includes adjusting settings for different types of fabrics and stains.
Sorting Laundry: Sort laundry by type of fabric, color, or level of soiling. For example, separating whites from colors or delicate items from heavier fabrics like towels or bedding.
Laundry Detergents and Chemicals: Measure and use the correct amounts of detergents, fabric softeners, and other cleaning agents, following the facility's guidelines to ensure the best cleaning results while avoiding damage to fabrics.
Drying and Folding: Ensure that items are dried at the proper temperature and then folded, ironed, or steamed as required, paying attention to presentation and fabric care.
2. Stain Removal and Special Care
Stain Identification and Treatment: Inspect laundry for stains and treat items with specialized cleaning agents or stain removers to ensure that stains are properly addressed before washing.
Delicate Fabrics Care: Handle delicate or high-maintenance fabrics (e.g., silk, wool, and fine linens) with special care, using appropriate cleaning methods to avoid damage.
Ironing and Pressing: Some laundry workers may be required to iron or press items, such as uniforms, sheets, or delicate clothing, to ensure they are wrinkle-free and presentable.
