Job Summary:
The Kitchen/Joinery Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for kitchen and joinery projects. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in estimating excellent analytical skills and proficiency in industryspecific software.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Estimation:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for kitchen and joinery projects including materials labor and time requirements.
- Analyze project specifications blueprints and drawings to determine scope and requirements.
Software Proficiency:
- Utilize Cabinet Vision for designing and estimating cabinetry and joinery components.
- Manage project data and workflows using Jobman v2.
- Use Microsoft Excel for cost calculations data analysis and reporting.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure estimates are accurate and align with project goals.
- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and negotiate pricing.
- Procuring materials and ordering.
Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of estimates proposals and project documentation.
- Assist in developing and refining estimation processes and templates.
Client Interaction:
- Provide professional guidance and support to clients throughout the estimation process.
- Address client inquiries and adjust estimates as necessary to meet their needs.
Requirements
Requirements/Skills Needed:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator in the kitchen and joinery industry.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering Architecture or a related field is preferred.
- Proficient in Cabinet Vision Jobman v2 and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of joinery construction methods and materials.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing estimates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in SolidWorks, with previous experience in sheet metal functions highly favoured, as well as Illustrator and Photoshop. Strong understanding of manufacturing and fabrication techniques, including sheet metal and extrusion. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
