Job Description
Job Title: OCI Service Reliability Engineer Permanent Role
Experience: 5 years
Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)
Notice Period: Immediate or up to 30 days
Job Description
The OCI Service Reliability Engineer will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for customers running platforms on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role involves handling thirdlevel support change requests and small projects while providing technical leadership within a structured ITIL/ISO20000 IT Service Management environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as the OCI technical lead for thirdlevel support and projects.
Provide expertlevel support for multiple clients across diverse OCI technologies.
Handle major escalations incidents and investigations.
Mentor junior team members and consult with customers in crossfunctional environments.
Document develop and maintain designs processes and procedures.
Work directly with clients to gather requirements design solutions build proofs of concept and implement solutions.
Support clients during Irish/UK business hours.
Deliver presentations and reports to clients with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Experience Requirements
5 years of IT experience including proven roles in support or consultancy.
3 years of handson experience working directly with OCI.
Extensive experience in designing building and supporting cloud solutions.
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and incidents.
Strong clientfacing and project delivery experience with excellent problemsolving skills.
Technical Skills (Mandatory)
Expertise in OCI Networking & FastConnect.
Proven ability to debug network routing and resolve network security group issues in OCI.
Experience with user management and IAM policies in OCI.
Handson experience with containerization technologies including:
Docker
Podman
OCI Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE)
Basic to advanced Linux administrative skills such as creating user accounts and managing block volumes.
Technical Skills (Desirable)
Experience with Exadata Cloud @ Customer (ExaCC) and Exadata Cloud Service (ExaCS).
Proficiency in Terraform for full cloud infrastructure builds including networks and IaaS/PaaS components.
Familiarity with Ansible for Linux environment configuration.
Basic experience with Oracle Databases (e.g. TNS connections database links).
Exposure to Autonomous Databases and Oracle Integration Cloud particularly provisioning and connectivity agents.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2023 Architect Associate (1Z0107223)
Desirable Certifications
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect Professional Certification (2024 or later)
Hashicorp Terraform Associate
Linux Certification
ITIL 4 Foundation
