Job Description

Media Studies Teacher Sought for Secondary School in Wandsworth

We are pleased to partner with a thriving secondary school in Wandsworth actively seeking a dynamic and engaging Media Studies Teacher to join their dedicated faculty. This fulltime permanent position offers a unique opportunity to inspire and equip students with essential skills in the everevolving world of media.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and inspiring Media Studies curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 4 and potentially 5. The role entails fostering a creative and collaborative learning environment that encourages critical thinking digital literacy and a passion for media analysis and production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging Media Studies lessons that align with the national curriculum and the schools educational ethos.
  • Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student curiosity participation and the development of essential media skills.
  • Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth and achievement.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Media Studies department and across the school to enrich the learning experience and contribute to extracurricular activities.
  • Stay abreast of current trends technologies and pedagogical approaches in Media Studies education.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelors degree or higher in Media Studies Film Studies Communication or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Media Studies at the secondary level.
