Deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room, check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order; transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
Greet guests, describe selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate options for removal of trays and dishware; respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards.
Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations.
Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
Properly and accurately close guest checks securing room number and signature; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Customer Service and Interaction
Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcome guests as they arrive at the bar or lounge area, guiding them to available seating if necessary.
Taking Orders: Listen to customers’ orders for drinks and food, ensuring you understand their preferences (e.g., cocktail choices, specific dietary needs).
Serving Drinks and Food: Serve drinks, cocktails, and food items from the bar or kitchen, ensuring proper presentation and timely delivery.
Engaging with Customers: Create a friendly, professional atmosphere by engaging in pleasant conversation with guests, answering their questions about the menu, and making recommendations.
Upselling: Suggest higher-end or signature drinks, specials, or food items to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
Bar and Beverage Service
Preparing Non-Alcoholic Drinks: While the bartender prepares alcoholic beverages, bar waiters may be responsible for serving non-alcoholic drinks, such as sodas, juices, water, or mocktails.
Maintaining Drink Orders: Ensure that drinks are delivered quickly, accurately, and in a professional manner, whether they come directly from the bar or from the kitchen.
Refilling Drinks: Regularly check on guests to refill drinks and ensure they have everything they need during their visit.
Full-time
