Job Description
Position: OROperating Room Nurse Permanent Job
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced OROperating Room Nurse to join our team in Hartsville SC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in perioperative nursing and will be responsible for providing care to patients before during and after surgical procedures. This is a fulltime permanent position with a $10K sign on bonus.
Our hospital has been an integral part of the lives of people throughout Darlington County and the surrounding areas for over 20 years. Our 116bed hospital offers a full range of inpatient outpatient and emergency room services to a service area totaling over 125000 individuals. We are dually accredited by the Joint Commission and Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) a Primary Stroke Center an Accredited Chest Pain Center and a Blue Distinction Maternity Center. Responsibilities:
Assess patients condition before surgery
Ensure that all required equipment and supplies are available in the operating room
Prepare patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites
Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
Monitor patients vital signs during surgery
Administer medications as needed
Communicate with patients and their families about the surgical process and postoperative care
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and procedures
Qualifications:
Current RN license in the state of South Carolina
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the OR department and/or perioperative nursing
BLS and ACLS certification
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fastpaced and highstress environment
Strong critical thinking and problemsolving skills
Willingness to work flexible hours including oncall and weekends
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
