Job Description
Role: Retail Innovation Manager
Job Summary: We are looking for a forwardthinking Innovation Manager to join our Retail vertical. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the retail industry a passion for innovation and the ability to lead crossfunctional teams in developing and implementing innovative solutions. This role involves identifying emerging trends fostering a culture of innovation and driving strategic initiatives that deliver value to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends that can drive business growth and improve customer experiences
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (servicelines Market/Delivery units) to understand their Retail client needs and develop tailored innovation solutions
- Foster a culture of innovation within the team encouraging creative thinking and experimentation.
- Manage and mentor a team of innovation specialists providing guidance and support
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders (servicelines Studio team Consulting team Market/delivery leaders) partners industry experts and clients
- Oversee the implementation of innovation initiatives ensuring they are delivering value to our clients on time and within budget
- Monitor and report on the impact of innovation initiatives using data to drive continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends technology advancements and best practices in Retail industry. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to clients based on industry trends and best practices
Qualifications:
.
Degree Masters degree in Business Information Technology or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
.
Minimum of 1012 years of consulting experience in the Retail industry with a focus on store operations unified commerce supplychain and merchandizing
.
Strong understanding of Retail industry trends challenges and opportunities. Good knowledge of Retail industry specific software and tools such as CRM systems POS systems and inventory management solutions
.
Ability to appreciate and articulate the biz/tech trends influencing the Retail industry (primarily in NA) and how to tap into those trends and build an unfair advantage for Cognizant
.
Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members
.
Ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
.
Strong exposure to AI/ML GenAI data analytics and other advanced technologies in the Retail industry
.
Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment and anchor multiple initiatives simultaneously
.
Willingness to travel if required
