Position Summary:
Our esteemed client is a leading mechanical Construction firm based in Qatar specializing in Oil and Gas Petrochemicals and Utilities Industries solutions for the Oil & Gas Sectors. We are looking for a Document Controller responsible for maintaining organized and uptodate documents using advanced software. This role involves digitizing paper documents ensuring secure storage and overseeing the distribution of accurate information throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage technical documents such as blueprints fostering smooth collaboration among professionals.
- They handle document verification scanning and photocopying while also writing reports and ensuring easy document access across departments.
- Carry out work in compliance with Company values and policies relevant laws and regulations agreed Company priorities and objectives Company standards and procedures and good industry practices.
- Apply methods and project procedures to manage the documentation (numbering workflows data management filling plan dematerialization and archives) both electronic and hard copy by NOC specifications/tools and the users needs from the beginning of the project until the documentation is handed over to Field Operations and/or is archived
- To apply a quality check on the documentation issued by the Contractor to check if it is compliant with Project procedures/specifications (numbering properties pdf parameters and all other aspects related to document quality).
- To participate in meetings when required (clarification kickoff progress meetings) and to ensure liaison with the Contractors document controllers on all matters concerning document control
- To provide Lead Document Controller with all relevant information needed including documents statistics for weekly and monthly project reporting
- Ensuring that the information is accurate and up to date.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Business Administration or related fields.
- Minimum 7 to 8 experiences in Document Control or similar roles in an Oil & Gas project environment
- Familiarity with a range of office software and document management systems.
- Competence in working with different file types and documentcapturing systems.
