What you will be doing:
- Perform routine and nonroutine analysis functions in general accounting accounts payable or accounts receivable.
- Responsible for process improvements and standardizing and streamlining procedures.
- Create written desktop procedures and provide training.
- Develop metrics for business units and assist in research and correction of reconciliation discrepancies.
- Conduct reconciliations of internal accounting data systems and resolve variances as needed.
- Actively pursue process improvements and identify success criteria from the customers perspective.
- Maintain ongoing partnerships with customers to improve service levels and meet their needs.
- Research and resolve discrepancies on general ledger accounts related to the area of responsibility.
- Provide input to the management team and propose recommendations for maximizing production efficiencies.
- Assist with implementation of standards and streamlining processes.
- Oversee and participate in M&A activities such as system and process integrations.
- Gather and prepare metrics or reporting for the supported business unit.
- Analyze offshore production against Service Level Agreements (SLA) to identify quality turnaround time and productivity issues and suggest solutions to the management team.
Experience you will need:
- Critical thinking skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
- Problemsolving capabilities to identify complex problems and develop solutions.
- Conceptual understanding of accounting and finance principles.
- Strong computer skills including all Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to diagnose and analyze problems and drive appropriate solutions.
- Experience facilitating meetings with highlevel crossfunctional teams.
- Experience with mainframe systems; Oracle experience preferred.
- Solid seniorlevel accounts payable experience.
- Analytical mindset positive attitude and enjoyment of team environments.
- Experience in a large company setting is a significant plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience.
