Job Description

Our client is a fastpaced fintech company and they are seeking motivated candidates for an exciting new opportunity. The ideal candidate will be available to start relatively quickly with the option to begin on a fractional basis before transitioning to fulltime. We are looking for individuals who are ready to hit the ground running and bring their expertise to the role.

Our client is seeking a highly technical and analytical Data Scientist to join their dynamic fintech team. In this role youll leverage your advanced data science and machine learning skills to analyze complex datasets extract valuable insights and support datadriven decisions that will shape the future of financial services. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive problemsolver with a passion for innovation and the fintech industry to make a meaningful impact on the companys growth and product offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design develop and implement machine learning models and statistical analyses to solve critical business challenges in the fintech space.
  • Analyze large complex datasets to uncover trends insights and patterns that can drive product innovation and optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams including product engineering and marketing to identify business needs and tailor datadriven solutions.
  • Continuously evaluate model performance and maintain model integrity adjusting algorithms and approaches as needed for optimal outcomes.
  • Develop data visualization tools and dashboards to present insights effectively and support realtime decisionmaking for stakeholders.
  • Stay uptodate with advancements in data science machine learning and financial technology to ensure the companys practices remain cuttingedge.
  • Ensure data privacy and compliance standards are met in line with financial regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science Computer Science Mathematics Statistics or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data science with a focus on machine learning in the fintech or financial services industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Python R SQL and machine learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow PyTorch).
  • Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau Power BI or custom dashboards.
  • Solid understanding of data structures algorithms and statistical modelling.
  • Demonstrated ability to extract insights from complex datasets and present findings clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloudbased data platforms (AWS GCP Azure) is a plus.
  • Experience in fraud detection credit scoring risk modelling or customer segmentation within the fintech industry.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop Spark and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with data governance privacy regulations and financial industry compliance requirements.
