Roles and responsibilities

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will interface with the customer's IT staff on a regular basis. Either at the client's site or from a remote location, you will be responsible for resolution of moderately complex technical problems related to the installation, recommended maintenance and use and repair/workarounds for Oracle products. You should be highly experienced in some Oracle products and several platforms that are being supported. You will be expected to work with only general guidance from management while advising management on progress/status.

As a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as, technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.

Desired candidate profile

• • Technical Expertise: Strong technical background with experience in configuration, customization, and integration of HCM systems. Experience with cloud-based HCM solutions is highly preferred.
  • Programming & Scripting: Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, JavaScript, XML, PL/SQL, Java, or other languages used for customization and integration within HCM platforms.
  • API Integrations: Hands-on experience with integrating HCM systems with other enterprise software (e.g., ERP, finance, or learning management systems) using REST APIs, SOAP, or middleware solutions.

• HR Process Knowledge:

  • Human Resources Expertise: Strong understanding of HR processes and workflows, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, compensation, payroll, benefits, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Functional Understanding: Experience in implementing solutions for HR business areas like compensation planning, learning and development, employee engagement, and workforce analytics.
  • Compliance: Knowledge of HR compliance regulations and how they impact the design and configuration of HCM systems (e.g., GDPR, EEOC, FLSA).

• Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the HCM environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and issue resolution skills, with the ability to work under pressure to resolve system issues in a timely manner.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to ensuring the integrity and accuracy of HCM data and configurations.

• Project Management & Collaboration:

  • Project Management: Experience in managing or working within project teams for large-scale HCM system implementations or upgrades.
  • Collaboration: Excellent team player, able to work cross-functionally with HR business partners, IT departments, external vendors, and end-users.
  • Vendor Management: Experience working with external HCM solution providers, system integrators, and consultants to implement and support solutions.
