Job Description

Roles and responsibilities



Overall responsibility for the regions sales, third party alliances, and customer satisfaction. Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy that maximizes Oracle's opportunities across all products and product lines.

Responsibilities

Manages and develops a team of sales representatives including recruiting, hiring, and training new reps on the Oracle sales process. Sells and promotes the sales of Oracle products to customers including negotiating price, other concessions and terms and conditions of the sale. Participates in strategic and tactical planning for the division. Builds working relationships with license, consulting and education field managers in the respective territory to develop joint account plans. Develops and execute a territory plan to maximize revenue. Generates and achieves monthly territory forecasts, and accurately predicts revenue on a monthly basis. Manages escalation. Conducts weekly progress meetings with sales team.

Desired candidate profile

    • Quota Achievement: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas in a cloud sales environment.
    • Sales Management: Experience managing a sales team, with the ability to mentor and guide individuals to high performance. Demonstrated leadership in motivating and driving results.
    • Consultative Sales: Expertise in consultative and solution-based selling, where the focus is on understanding customer pain points and delivering cloud solutions that drive business outcomes.
  1. Cloud Industry Knowledge:

    • Cloud Expertise: Strong understanding of cloud technologies and services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.), including an understanding of how businesses leverage cloud solutions for digital transformation.
    • Solution Selling: Ability to position cloud solutions in a way that demonstrates measurable business impact, focusing on both technical and financial aspects of cloud adoption.
  2. Strong Communication Skills:

    • Presentation & Negotiation: Comfortable presenting complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences, with a persuasive ability to negotiate multi-million-dollar contracts.
    • Stakeholder Management: Skilled in managing relationships with senior-level executives and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful deal closures.
  3. Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving:

    • Market & Customer Insight: Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor actions to develop tailored sales strategies and refine value propositions.
    • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business metrics and KPIs, with the ability to align sales strategies with broader business goals.
  4. Technical Aptitude:

    • Cloud Certifications: While not always required, certifications from leading cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) are a strong plus and demonstrate technical credibility.
    • Technical Understanding: Able to speak knowledgeably about cloud infrastructure, data storage, security, and networking concepts without needing to be a technical expert.
  5. Drive & Adaptability:

    • Self-Starter: Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, changes in customer needs, and the evolving cloud landscape.
    • Persistence: Comfortable with long sales cycles, handling objections, and closing complex deals.
