Job Description
The BIM Modeler will be responsible for creating and managing detailed 3D models for MEP systems in alignment with project requirements. This role requires proficiency in BIM software and a solid understanding of MEP design principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate 3D models of MEP systems ensuring compliance with design specifications and project standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to gather requirements and coordinate model elements.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation related to model creation and changes.
- Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between MEP systems and other disciplines.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents and drawings.
- Stay current with industry standards and best practices in BIM and MEP design.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on modeling progress and challenges.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a BIM Modeler with a focus on MEP systems.
- Proficiency in BIM software particularly Autodesk Revit Navisworks and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of MEP design principles codes and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in BIM or related fields.
- Experience with energy modeling and analysis software.
- Familiarity with project management software.
