Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior BIM Specialist to join our team!
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the production of architectural BIM Models and sketches in Revit. (for internal usage).
- Reviewing the BIM Models in Revizto and providing comments.
- Creating the central BIM Models in ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud).
- Configuring the roles and permissions in ACC.
- Applying LOD specifications according to different project stages (specs of AIA and BIM Forum).
- Creating the necessary worksets.
- Following IS0-19650 specifications.
- Coordinating the BIM Models in all disciplines.
- Managing the BIM QA/QC process.
- Producing the QA/QC checklis.t
- Creating structural project templates in Revit.
- Creating the view templates for structural plans and models
- Supporting the BIM training.
- Clash analysis between structural and other disciplines as per clash matrix (in Revizto).
- Resolving the clashes and collaborating on the clash solutions with other engineers.
- Facilitating the assessment of impact where another discipline wants to make a change to the baseline or where potential design clashes are highlighted.
- Preparing setting up a plan, elevation, and section views within the BIM model.
- Generating the clash reports in HTML format and sharing them with other disciplines.
- Ensuring all relevant discipline design models are shared.
- Supporting the architectural/engineering design department related to BIM issues and GIS subjects.
- Combining the different disciplines in .nwd format through Navisworks.Minimum Clearance Required To Start

What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Computer Science, or related curriculum (or equivalent)
- 8+ years of related experience
- Proficiency in CDE software applications and programming is required.
- Requires a demonstrated proficiency in both written and oral communication skills and a working knowledge of industry practices.
- Well-developed skills with one or more CDE packages including scripting, programming, modelling, and designing.
- Ability to design and maintain CDE environment and other similar systems.
- Ability to independently assess data anomalies, software problems, and program design flaws, and take appropriate steps to make the project work.
- Ability to ascertain hardware/software limitations, how to work within them, and what can be done when limits are reached.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
- Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as Visual Basic, Python, HTML, AML, EML, Cold Fusion, C# Systems automation skills (e.g., UNIX scripts, NT batch scripts, Linux scripts).
- Systems and peripheral troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of GIS, BIM related software’s such as AutoDesk Products (Revit), Bentley Products (Project Wise), and Digital Twin software.
- Knowledge of CAD/BIM data formats, quality control / review processes relating to BIM standards, scripting skills for development of automated testing and quality reviews.
- Experience implementing BIM standards and quality control procedures on BIM projects.
- Proficiency in basic office automation software including MS-Word or MS-Excel.
