Description:
We are seeking an experienced Ocean Import Customer Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Navi Mumbai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer relationships in the logistics and freight industry ensuring seamless operations for ocean import shipments. This role requires strong communication skills attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers coordinating and facilitating all aspects of the import process while ensuring compliance with regulations and high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and coordinate ocean import shipments from start to finish.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Prepare and process necessary documentation for customs clearance.
- Monitor shipment schedules and provide timely updates to customers on shipment status.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners such as carriers customs agents and warehouse staff.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain accurate records.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members.
Requirements
- Minimum of 24 years of experience in ocean import logistics or a related field.
- Bachelors degree in any discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of import regulations and customs procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software.
- Detailoriented with strong organizational skills.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
